This was solid for your first flash work. The animation wasn't choppy or anything; it was very smooth. There wasn't much of a plot, but that's cool. You didn't tell us there was going to be one. I would make one suggestion: try compressing the audio more because this piece actually had a pretty large file size for how short it was. I know compressed audio doesn't sound as good, but see if you can tweak it so load times are shorter, esp. during peak hours. I see definite potential. Keep it up!

hey thanks, i'll try to figure out how to compress the tunes and pick better ones. Yeah, i was just mucking around, so sorry for the pointlessness

Smooth animation and logical story and joke with a point. You got all the little things done well, and that makes the overall product much more slick. Maybe you could add some audio with either background music or dialogue instead of just text. You could also add more detail to each stick figure to maybe help distinguish which one is which (although since they all fall I guess it doesn't really matter). Nice job!

Simple but effective. A really good remake of the classic. Here are some ideas to think about: include some documentation on the hisotry of the game so people who don't know it can learn a little bit, basic game description plus instructions (even though it might seem obvious), more music, power-ups, different backgrounds, different space ships, etc. You have a faithful remake already; it might be even better if you spiced it up a but by adding options so people can either play the classic style or a more modern style. Great job!

Nice remake of a classic game. Here are a couple suggestions to make your rendition even better ... the game is kind of choppy, so if you could smooth out the flow and animation, that would be great. If you added some music (esp. nostalgic music like the original game's theme song) that would be a nice touch. Also, if there were extra features like power ups or ways to earn extra ships or whatever, that would make the game fun as well. Great job!

I really like duct tape (it's damn useful! that's why), so this piece was appealing to me. It was short, and the sound wasn't great, but I appreciated it. It's a good (funny) concept, so stick with it and as your skills develop, I am sure you will produce some more good stuff. (^_^)

I really liked the concept of this piece. The story was kinda weird but entertaining. And yes, women can be evil like that. The music was kinda fuzzy, but that's understandable considering it had to be compressed for the sake of a smaller size file. Great work!
Author's Response:
haha I'm really glad that you liked it. When I first submitted it it was like 3,300 kb so I took off some quality.

Great job! Covers Chinese history from a pretty accurate Chinese point of view. There's so much evil stuff that the western world powers did to eastern countries, but you never learn about that. you just hear "Open Door Policy" and crap like that. Obviously, it's toned down a bit and all, but I think you did a good job getting the general mood. Using Mario and other Mario Bros. characters kept it entertaining and fresh. Anyone who likes this flash should check out Jet Li's Once Upon A Time In China movies because they feature a similar point of view and some awesome martial arts action. Great job!

Nice little movie here. Personally, I like Microsoft not just because everyone else uses their stuff but because it's pretty good quality (at least what i have used so far) I haven't had any troubles with win xp at all. In fact, I think it's great! But I'm no Bill Gates sycophant either. It was worth a chuckle to see him launched out of a cannon. :-)
Author's Response:
yeah they do make some good stuff... I just hate WinXP Home Edition. and those XP tv ads were just beggin to be mocked

I can see how people might think that this is a rip off of Xiao Xiao, but hell, it's not like the bullet time concept is originally from the XX series anyway (remember the Matrix, people?) I think the use of stick figures is just a much easier route to go than actually drawing people that produces similar results. Actually doing bullet time for any 3-D character or person would be incredbily time-consuming and would need to be a multi-million dollar backed movie. Overall, good stick translation of a great game. Good work.

This was pretty interesting as a concept and interesting to mess around with and see what was there to see. I don't understand why this piece isn't higher. This whole series is done pretty damn well. Definitely entertaining and obviously a lot of time and effort put in to making it. Good Job.
